After a scoreless first half, the IU men’s soccer team cruised to a victory against the 2011 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics champion, Lindsey Wilson College, 2-0 Friday night at Jerry Yeagley Field.

In-state battle with Butler ends in scoreless tie

After its first two games resulted in a combined 13 goals, the IU men’s soccer team played in-state rival Butler to a 0-0 tie after 90 minutes of play Friday night on Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

After the IU men’s soccer team’s first spring loss of the season, a 5-3 defeat at the hands of the Bradley Braves this past Sunday, it will play its second game of a three-game home stand Friday against in-state rival Butler.

After falling behind 3-0 in the first 20 minutes of its game Sunday, the IU men’s soccer team failed to muster a successful comeback at Jerry Yeagley Field, falling 5-3 to Bradley in the team’s second match of the spring.

IU soccer begins spring season with key personnel losses

As the Hoosiers travel to Springfield, Ill., on Saturday to begin their spring slate of games, taking on the Saint Louis Billikens, sophomore Nikita Kotlov, freshman Eriq Zavaleta, and the rest of their teammates will begin to rebuild a team still recovering from a loss of leadership and offensive production.

Former Hoosiers kick off pro careers in MLS draft

A pair of former IU men’s soccer defenders, Tommy Meyer and Chris Estridge, will both continue their soccer careers at the professional level after learning Thursday afternoon that they were selected in the first and second rounds, respectively, of the 2012 MLS Super Draft.

Nikita Kotlov scored two goals to lead the 16th-seed IU men’s soccer team (13-3-5) to a 3-0 victory against Old Dominion in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

The Hoosiers will begin another quest Sunday that, to both players’ and fans’ hopes, will lead them to Hoover, Ala., for a College Cup, an NCAA final win and an eighth star, which has eluded the program now for six years.

Hoosiers selected to men's soccer NCAA Tournament

Indiana grabbed the No. 16 seed for the tournament, awarding them a first-round bye into the tournament of 48. Unseeded Liberty and Old Dominion will face off Thursday to determine the Hoosiers’ second-round foe.
