With a big smile and a charismatic personality, Robyn Ochs jumped head-first into her lecture on bisexuality. “What are some stereotypes that you have heard about bisexuals?” she asked the crowd of more than 50 students, teachers and Bloomington residents.

5 junior faculty members awarded $14,500 each

Five IU professors are being awarded $14,500 each to assist in their research projects. Kay Connelly and Minaxi Gupta of the School of Informatics and Sara L. Friedman, Dongwhan Lee and Edward Watts of the College of Arts and Sciences are all junior professors who are 2006-07 recipients of the Outstanding Junior Faculty Award.

After a strong performance at the NCAA Zone C meet this weekend, the IU women’s diving squad put itself in a favorable position for next week’s NCAA championships.

A man suspected of killing and dismembering his wife was captured Sunday as he fled from searchers through the snow in a wooded area of northern Michigan, police said.

Student fees could increase

Fourteen groups made proposals to the Committee for Fee Review to increase by $50 how much students pay in mandatory fees, which would be an increase of 12 percent to 13 percent.

One time freshman year, after a night of festivities, I entered my dorm room, struggled to get my eyes adjusted and emptied my pockets on the end table. I leaned toward the bottom bunk only to have a very Goldilocks-esque moment of discovering somebody sleeping in my bed.
