Walk down the brightly lit street of Kirkwood Avenue and they are there. As the days grow colder, they are huddled in public buildings on and off campus, seeking warmth. The homeless are not just found in large cities, but also here, in a small college town in the Midwest.

Man falls asleep in wrong home, arrested for stolen property

A 22-year-old man was arrested by Bloomington Police after he was found passed out in a stranger’s home. A 21-year-old woman woke up at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday to the breathing sounds of a strange man, John Gregory Johnson II, sleeping in her room.

Fontaine Syer canceled her Friday afternoon class — but not because she had to. The associate professor of acting and directing said many of her students were planning to skip, all to wait in a standby line at 2:30 p.m. outside the IU Auditorium for “An Evening of Conversation with Jane Pauley and Meryl Streep.”


Zeller commits to Hoosiers for 2011
