IUDM breaks fundraising record

This year’s IU Dance Marathon once again broke fundraising records with a total of $1,602,713.20 said IUDM President Eric Davis.

The 20th anniversary of the event, which took place from  8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. today in the Ora L. Wildermuth Intramural Center, raised money to benefit the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.

Davis said he knew how much hard work was put into the event, and that the hard work put in by everyone involved paid off.

“As a Riley patient myself, I understand what it means to have people who are there for you, who understand your story, who will listen to your story, and I think that’s the biggest thing,” he said.
