IU faces $24.9 million shortfall in projected expenses

The IU Board of Trustees’ budget is now $24.9 million short of projected expenses for 2011-12, due in part to the rate of health care costs increasing for employees at all of IU’s eight campuses.

IU falls to Kentucky 81-62

LEXINGTON, Ky. – IU played Kentucky tough for the first 30 minutes of the game on Saturday at Rupp Arena.Unfortunately for the Hoosiers, they fell apart down the stretch in an 81-62 loss to the Wildcats.

 Fred Rumple is the owner and master barber stylist at The Golden Shear near East Third Street and South Jordan Avenue. He is of medium height and hefty build. His hair is white and, like all barbers, is well combed. He has a bright face and jolly demeanor. If you were to add a beard and a big red hat, Fred Rumple could be Santa Claus.

Column: Calipari’s recruiting strategy ultimately doesn’t work

When it comes to recruiting NBA-caliber talent to a college team, there is not a better head coach right now than Kentucky’s John Calipari.  But crafting a team around such top-heavy talent, while it may have success in the short-term, is not a sustainable long-term philosophy.
