National Weather Service issues Winter Weather Advisory for Monroe County

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Monroe County until 7 a.m. Monday Dec. 13.

“Blowing snow and strong winds will occur this afternoon and tonight,” according to a National Weather Service report.

Snow accumulation of 2 to 3 inches is possible in Bloomington on Sunday.

The National Weather Service predicts wind gusts of 25 to 30 miles per hour will occur this afternoon and wind chill temperatures will drop to below zero on Sunday night.
