Cider, lights to start holiday season

Bugles will blare, cider and hot chocolate will be passed around and downtown Bloomington will burst into light for the Canopy of Lights celebration. Santa Claus will take the stage at 7 p.m. Friday on the south side of the square, where he’ll start the holiday season with the flip of a switch.
