A back-and-forth affair between the IU baseball team and visiting Xavier turned into a blowout after a five-run sixth inning led the Hoosiers to a 10-4 victory.

Grand slam rockets Hoosiers to victory

One swing of the bat from senior first baseman Tory Yamaguchi was enough for the IU softball team (7-19) to get past Evansville on Wednesday. Yamaguchi’s grand slam in the bottom of the fourth inning broke a 2-2 tie to give the Hoosiers the lead for good. A late home run for the Purple Aces closed the gap, but IU won 7-4.


A recent study by the Indiana Coalition for the Arts and the Indiana Arts Commission found that arts-related businesses and employment dramatically increased in 2007.

UITS warns students of Webmail scamming

Students should not reply to an e-mail requesting Webmail password information, University Information Technology Services Macintosh Consultant Jim Robbins said. The e-mail tells the recipient to “verify” his or her account by replying with his or her username, password, date of birth and country or territory.
