I-65 altercation leads to attempted shooting, arrest

A confrontation between two I-65 drivers at approximately 1:45 a.m. today ended in an attempted shooting and an arrest by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Charles Kidson, 26, of Indianapolis was driving northbound on I-65 this morning behind Antonio Diaz, 35, of Indianapolis.

Men’s basketball looks for first Big Ten win of season

The IU men’s basketball team (9-7, 0-3) is mired in a five-game losing streak, and following a loss at Minnesota on Tuesday, a nine-game road losing streak extending to last year. The Hoosiers have a chance to snap both streaks at Northwestern (9-4, 0-3) in a 7 p.m. tipoff Sunday on the Big Ten Network.

Due to an electrical short, the sprinkler system in the Indiana Memorial Union was tripped, sending water pouring into Starbucks, down through the Commons and into Dunn Meadow Cafe.

Ivano Toscani of the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, N.Y. gained celebrity status as the head chef of the establishment that invented the staple for every college student and sports fan ­— the Buffalo wing. Although the Anchor Bar is more than 500 miles from IU, Bloomington also has a respectable wing selection from which to choose.
