Time zone complaints forged in Jasper County

JASPER, Ind. – Comments submitted to the federal agency considering whether to move six southwestern Indiana counties back to the Eastern Time Zone include two letters against the move listing hundreds of apparently forged names. The letters to the U.S. Department of Transportation, purporting to be from residents of the town of Ireland and parishioners of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois, have typewritten names but no signatures.

Ethiopian food returns to Bloomington restaurant

Ethiopian food will be making a comeback to the Bloomington dining scene this fall. Half of Italian restaurant Puccini’s La Dolce Vita, located at 420 E. Fourth St, will be converted into an Ethiopian restaurant. Robert Johnson, a Puccini’s manager, said the Ethiopian portion will open sometime toward the end of September.

"Soon the New Day" features vocals of the soulful Norah Jones and is a fun listen simply because both artists are stretching their ranges to make the song work. Female MC Jean Grae is the only lyricist on the album that can trade flows with Kweli on "Say Something" and not get outshined. With old-school needle scratches and scorching flows by both Grae and Kweli, "Say Something" is easily the most intriguing song on the album. If Eardrum is missing anything, it's Mos Def. But with rumors of a new Black Star album, his absence is quite excusable. Just think, if Talib can do this album by himself, what will he and Mos Def do together? Think about that as you listen to Eardrum, one of the most complete rap albums in recent history.
