After landing five-star 2027 wide receiver Monshun Sales last Friday, Indiana football continued its momentum with recruits on Thursday. The Hoosiers landed a commitment from four-star 2028 quarterback Lukas Prock, according to an X post from Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
Prock chose Indiana over finalists Michigan, Ohio State, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Florida.
Prock is the first recruit of Indiana’s 2028 recruiting class. He is ranked as the No. 6 quarterback, the 69th-best player in the country and the third-best player out of New Jersey, per the 247Sports composite rankings. Prock received an offer from Curt Cignetti’s program on May 21.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound rising junior played last season at the Hun School of Princeton in Princeton, New Jersey. During his 2025 campaign, Prock threw for 4,330 yards with 41 passing touchdowns and seven interceptions. He completed 73.1% of his passing attempts and added 154 rushing yards and one touchdown.
The Raiders went 8-4 last season and faced high-profile opponents, including St. Francis Academy and IMG Academy. Prock threw for at least 300 yards in nine of 12 games, including two games with 500-plus yards and one with 600-plus.
If Sales and Prock both sign with the Hoosiers, the pair will become Indiana’s highest-ranked football recruits of all time. Prock has a 247Sports composite score of 0.9706, just higher than 2022 linebacker recruit Dasan McCullough.
During Cignetti’s first two seasons in Bloomington, the Hoosiers relied on transfer portal quarterbacks. However, the Hoosiers have since been active in the recruiting department.
Indiana did not sign a high school quarterback in the 2026 class but have a commitment from three-star Jameson Purcell in the 2027 cycle. Texas Christian University redshirt-senior transfer quarterback Josh Hoover will be the Hoosiers’ QB1 in the fall, with graduate Grant Wilson and redshirt freshmen Tyler Cherry and Jacob Bell backing him up.
Cignetti and the Hoosiers will begin their quest for another national championship with a game against the University of North Texas on Sept. 5 at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
