Gun control doesn’t reduce crime

As a 2007 Indiana University alumnus, born and bred Hoosier and passionate lover of the U.S. Constitution, I was deeply dismayed by Indira Dammu’s Feb. 13 piece, “Guns

The Gold Club

American Music Club is foreign to most, but it shouldn’t be. The Golden Age, the band’s latest, comes off as a sort of calm storm – dark yet beautiful, bringing a strange peace.

Bon Iver should have gotten some of that Ex-Lax before he left the house this morning.

Bon means good

The “indie rock” genre covers an exceedingly broad range of sounds – so broad as to make its utility questionable.

If only we were this happy listening to her.

X-tremely awful

Kylie Minogue, “Australian pop princess,” has come full circle. An inevitable evolution from her music of the past, she has officially become a full-blown, dancing, singing, lingerie-modeling fembot.

Charlie Bartlett

Heart, not brains

·

Films about teenagers and their “problems” haven’t had much success in the past few years, mostly because they follow the same tired formula.

Marjane Satrapi rocks the Rambo headband in revolutionary Iran. Stallone would be proud.

Animated reality

An innovative gift to film from France, “Persepolis” is unique in its elements.
