About 10 supporters of the organization MoveOn.org rallied Tuesday in the Bloomingfoods Near West parking lot during the weekly Tuesday Market with picket signs and flyers, protesting the influence of “Big Oil” and John McCain’s involvement with it.

Crean signs 10-year contract

IU has signed men's basketball coach Tom Crean to a 10-year contract with a $600,000 per year base salary. The contract also promises $15.72 million in additional income from outside marketing and promotions over the 10 years.PDF: Tom Crean's contract




City of Bloomington utility employees work to fix the broken water main at 10th Street and the 45/46 bypass on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier today the City of Bloomington Utilities reported three water main breaks. The breaks were at Third Street and Eastside Drive, 10th Street and Woodlawn Avenue and 10th Street and the 45/46 bypass, said Jon Callahan, utilities public affairs specialist.

With one listen to Armada, it’s clear why the Drive-Thru family wanted The Mile After in the fold. The band delivers slick pop-punk just as if it was 2003 all over again. Yet although the talent is clearly there, the band seemingly lack anything that can be remembered after the album finishes spinning.
