Legendary IU track and field coach Sam Bell has died at the age of 88. Bell had great success coaching the Hoosiers for 29 years, from 1970 to 1998.

Former IU student has rape charges dismissed

John Enochs, former IU student, accepted a plea deal and was sentenced June 23 for battery with moderate bodily injury. Enochs was charged with with two counts of rape in September 2015 that were both dismissed, according to court records.
