Infielders Jake Hanley and Cooper Malamazian, along with outfielder Brodey Bitove, entered the transfer portal Tuesday, per D1Baseball Transfer Tracker. All three players have two years of eligibility remaining.

Hanley — winner of the 2025 Freshman of the Year award — continued his success during the 2026 season.The Mason, Ohio, native batted .338 with a 1.053 OPS, 28 extra-base hits, 14 home runs and 42 RBIs in 210 at-bats.

Hanley became the first Indiana player since 2005 to start every game in his first two seasons — playing in 56 games in 2025 and 54 in 2026.

Malamazian was selected in the 17th round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers but opted to play his first two seasons in Bloomington.

The 6-foot-2 shortstop started the first 51 games in 2026 but missed the final series of the year against Illinois due to a hand injury. Malamazian hit .301 with a .833 OPS, four home runs and 36 RBIs. He slugged four long balls in his freshman campaign.

Bitove transferred to Indiana from Pepperdine University ahead of his sophomore season. He recorded two at-bats and struck out twice against the University of Evansville on Mar. 31 in a 4-3 defeat in 11 innings. The Toronto native didn’t play for the rest of the season.

The college baseball transfer portal officially closes June 30.
