‘Boom’ explores scientific theories

There are so many things needed to prepare for a hot date. Circumstances of the play “Boom,” which runs through Nov. 15, at the John Waldron Arts Center, allowed the date to bring diapers, bourbon and tampons, which find more than one use.

Kinno returns to Funny Bone for B97 night

Beginning tonight, headliner Daniel Kinno will perform five shows at the Funny Bone Bloomington Comedy Club this weekend. Joining him will be feature comedian Jeff Oskay and local hosts Brad Wilhelm and Jamison Raymond. Kinno said he’ll talk about sex, politics, pop culture and whatever else he thinks audience members will find amusing.

Marching Hundred Showcase Concert brings spirit, music to Assembly Hall

Spirted shouts of “Go, fight win!” filled Assembly Hall on Wednesday as the Marching Hundred performed its annual showcase concert. Hoosier fans cheered as the cream and crimson clad musicians played songs featured during football games including “Hail to Old IU,” “Hot, Hot, Hot” and “Dirty Little Secret.”

SPEA grant begins Russia partnership

A new grant could facilitate a partnership between the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs and both Russia’s Tyumen State University and Tyumen State Agricultural Academy. The partnership would allow IU students opportunities to study in Russia and conduct environmental research there.
