An iPhone application allowing gay, bisexual and curious men to rendezvous is the catalyst in a sexual battery investigation. A Bloomington man used the app Grindr to meet another man, 26, reportedly from Ohio, who was at a Bloomington motel.

Student reports rape early Friday morning

A female IU student reported being raped some time between 1 to 11:45 a.m. Friday. The IU Police Department was notified of the alleged rape at 7:19 p.m. Friday.

Kokomo increases number of special needs students

IU-Bloomington’s Center on Education and Lifelong Learning’s pilot year alliance with Kokomo- Center Schools has helped these schools increase their inclusion rate of special needs students from 14 percent in 2010-11 to more than 60 percent in 2011-12.
