'Unleashed' is off the chain

French filmmaker Luc Besson's protégé Louis Leterrier has advanced by leaps and bounds between his first film "The Transporter" (Jason Statham's oiled-up altercation is the personification of homoerotic, but the opening car chase was cool) and its follow-up "Unleashed" (known everywhere but here as "Danny the Dog").

Gunmen kill Iraqi general; 7 more bodies found

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Insurgents gunned down a senior Iraqi Interior Ministry official Wednesday and the bodies of seven men shot in the head were found outside Baghdad, part of an escalation in violence that a senior U.S. military official said was called for during a recent meeting in Syria by lieutenants of terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Winning the long jump and the triple jump titles at the Big Ten Championships last weekend wasn't enough for senior Aarik Wilson as Wednesday the conference announced that he was track's Athlete of the Year and the Athlete of the Championships for the outdoor season.

As an alumnus of the IU School of Music, I am furious that the School of Music is being forced to pay a portion of the cost of academically advising and tutoring athletics department students.
