Report: More hate crimes found

A new report found 22 "hate incidents" in Bloomington last year, an increase from 19 last year. The City of Bloomington Human Rights Commission released their annual Hate Incidents Report, which covered the time period from July 2004 to June 2005, last Friday.

Foreign students learn of campus

Every year thousands of students leave home, some for the first time, to come to IU. They take multi-stop flights from far away as China, New Zealand, Nigeria, Germany and Argentina. It is this great milieu of diverse backgrounds that rejuvenates IU with new life every year and enriches the academic experience here.

Gretzky to coach Coyotes

Video games attract composers

LOS ANGELES -- Violinists playing sweetly beneath her, the video game heroine Lara Croft has two guns blazing and the full attention of 10,000 people at the Hollywood Bowl. The animated star of "Tomb Raider" games, which have collectively sold more than 30 million copies, unflinchingly braves explosions on a giant TV screen that hangs, incongruously, above the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra.
