Crimson defeats Cream

On a warm and sunny afternoon at Memorial Stadium, the Crimson defeated the Cream 28-27 in the IU football Spring Game.

Tom Crean, IU teams now on Twitter

IU men's basketball coach Tom Crean is the latest celebrity to join Twitter. A story on the IU Athletics Web site made the announcement on Friday. Fans can see what Crean's up to by following @TomCrean.

IU loses 9-7 to Penn State

Jake Dunning stepped up to bat with the bases loaded, the tying and game-winning runs represented on first and second base. Dunning wasn’t able to convert and was struck out swinging to abruptly end IU’s 9-7 loss to Penn State.

Piano concert to honor survivors

In commemoration of Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Memorial Day, the Polish Studies Center and Congregation Beth Shalom in Bloomington will play host to a Holocaust memorial concert to raise money for the Children of the Holocaust in Poland.

Palin advertised her home state's geographic features and discussed issues raised during her vice-presidential run before talking about the importance of the right-to-life movement.

OUT to crown Miss Gay IU

The 19th annual Miss Gay IU pageant will take place at 7 p.m. Friday in the IU Auditorium. Members of OUT and Britney Taylor, the 2008 Miss Gay IU, who chose the theme “Angel Fashion Show,” organized this year’s pageant.

Commencement speaker choice lacks student voice

President Michael McRobbie made a key change this year as to how commencement speakers are chosen, designating the duty to honorary degree recipients and eliminating student input from the selection process, a University spokesman said Thursday.

IU takes the field in annual intra-squad Spring Game

The Spring Game, which is slated for 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Stadium, will mark the end of the offseason practice schedule for the Hoosiers. The IU men’s basketball team will sign autographs at the event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
