Wandering Turtle to pay tribute to gallery founder

Artist Paul Sweany used the sustaining beauty of nature as inspiration for his art, which will be featured in a show at the Wandering Turtle Gallery. The show’s opening reception will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the gallery.

IUSA seeks funding director

Women’s basketball defeats Clemson, 65-51

Senior guard Jori Davis and sophomore forward Aulani Sinclair scored 17 and 15 points, respectively, to lead the IU women’s basketball team to a 65-51 win against Clemson on Thursday in Clemson, S.C.

Monroe County Convention Center to expand downtown

Bloomington tourists will have a great burden lifted off their shoulders because of the new chunk of land that the Monroe County Convention Center has purchased. Three acres were recently purchased from local businesses for $5.5 million.

IU swimmers travel to Ohio for Short Course Nationals

About 40 members of the IU swim team have shipped off to Columbus, Ohio for the USA Short Course Nationals. Members who didn’t make the trip will look to hold the fort at this weekend’s Hoosierland Open along with the diving team.
