Quilts decorate local museum

Since Feb. 18, a display of 14 colorful Shiisa Quilts has brought pizzazz to the pale yellow walls surrounding the Wonderlab Museum of Science and Technology.

Rapper Chuck D lectures about race, rap and reality

This Monday, rapper Chuck D of Public Enemy rapped to a crowd of IU students, alumni and Bloomington residents about everything but his career as a rapper. Chuck lectured in the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center, and audience members listened as he spoke about “Race, Rap and Reality.”“Raise your hand if you love R&B,” rapper Chuck D said, and the audience lifted its hands enthusiastically.“But what is R&B?” Chuck asked, and everyone mumbled.

Republican candidate Jim Wallace and Democratic candidate John Gregg were in Bloomington on Tuesday, and they  discussed with the IDS some of the issues they think are most important this election cycle.
