A party on South Walnut Street Monday night resulted in an alleged assault involving brass knuckles, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Steve Kellams said.
Tommy Sheldon, 29, was arrested for Class C felony battery after a man called police shortly after 10 p.m. Monday.
The victim left the party and walked up the street, where he called police, Kellams said. Police found him with lacerations on his head, which he said were caused by the brass knuckles Sheldon was allegedly wearing when the two got into a fight.
Police waited as people left the party. Sheldon was covered in blood, and police arrested him.
“Sheldon didn’t talk to us,” Kellams said.
Police have not yet established motive or the cause of the fight.
