Students gathered in the Indiana Memorial Union’s Frangipani Room on Tuesday night to listen to former Playboy Playmate Rebekka Armstrong, an HIV/AIDS awareness activist, speak about her experience living with HIV/AIDS.

State population continues to increase

By 2050, the state’s population will increase by 15 percent, from 6.48 million to 7.48 million residents, according to population projections released Tuesday by the Indiana Business Research Center at IU’s Kelley School of Business.

Los Llaneros celebrates Spanish music

Los Llaneros, a Colombian and Venezuelan music group, played to an enthusiastic crowd in the Mathers Museum of World Cultures last night. Songs were sung in Spanish and played with traditional Llano, or plains, instruments.

High jumper returns to team in time for Texas Relays

A prominent member of the men’s track team is returning for IU Coach Ron Helmer and the Hoosiers, as 2011 National Field Athlete of the Year high jumper Derek Drouin will be competing in the event for the first time this season at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.

Zeller finishes season with honorable mention AP All-American status

The list of accolades continues for freshman forward Cody Zeller. He earned an honorable mention Associated Press All-America honor on Monday. He is the 42nd Hoosier to share All-American honors and is just the second freshman in school history to earn that honor. Eric Gordon was the first in 2008.
