Bloomington police investigate possible connection to Spierer case

The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a possible connection between the June 3, 2011, disappearance of Lauren Spierer and Clyde Gibson of New Albany, Ind., who is accused of killing three women, BPD Cpt. Joe Qualters said in a press release.

IUPD arrest 3 on felony drug charges during traffic stop

Three Indianapolis residents were arrested Wednesday after an Indiana University Police Department officer conducting a routine traffic stop found more than two pounds of marijuana, Xanax pills, Spice, cash and guns in the vehicle.

Trees planted in honor of notable Africans

Sophomore Rasheed Ojerinde, president of the ASA, said it is significant that the group planted three trees, and that they will produce fruit for years to come. Each tree represents a strong woman who has positively affected the lives of Africans, Ojerinde said.

Kelley students to take trip to Greece

Twenty students from the Kelley School of Business will depart for Athens, Greece, on May 9 and will return May 19. The students’ objectives are to learn more about international business practices.

About 30 students participated in what associate instructor and organizer Tristan Tager called a “protest for the greater good of humans” at 5 p.m. Friday at the Sample Gates.
