IU Cinema to screen 'Road Comic'

As of early September, the film was chosen for the 2012 Cincinnati Film Festival and will play at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at IU Cinema, where Seizer will be present for a question and answer session.

IU Ballet season to open with 'Light and Shade'

Three American balletswill be part of the fall ballet program “Light and Shade," which opens at 8 p.m. Friday at the Musical Arts Center after a 7 p.m. pre-concert talk. The second performance will be 8 p.m. Saturday.

For the past 20 years, executive salaries have been a standard part of the IUSA budget. The 2011-12 budget did not have them. This year, they are back.

Locals recall Travis’ service

Jill Schaffer, owner of Cactus Flower, could not speak of Sophia Travis without her voice choking and tears pooling in her eyes. Travis had been diagnosed with a heart condition, Schaffer said. A week and a half ago, Travis and her husband traveled to the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio to see specialists.
