Bills to watch: Alcohol and taxes edition

S.B. 28 would make it illegal to allow underage people to consume alcohol on your property. H.B. 1001 would allow county income tax councils to eliminate the business personal property tax, which taxes a business’ equipment.

Representatives from 32 universities gathered for the Diversity Case Competition this weekend, which had a prize-money pool of $20,000.

Tennis to take on No. 9 Kentucky

On Tuesday afternoon the No. 56 IU men’s tennis team will travel to Lexington, Ky., to take on No. 9 Kentucky. The match will be the first dual match of the season for the Hoosiers, who are coming off an unsuccessful performance in the UCF Invitational to start the spring season.

IU track, field fall to Purdue

The Boilermakers edged out the Hoosiers by a total score  of 70-65 for the men and 72-64 for the women, giving Purdue its first dual meet win against IU since 2008.IU claimed the top prize in 14 of the 32 events.

Hoosiers to take on No. 3 MSU

For the second consecutive week, the IU men’s basketball team (12-6, 2-3) will face the No. 3 team in the country. The Hoosiers will travel to East Lansing, Mich., to play the Michigan State Spartans (17-1, 6-0) at 7 p.m. today.
