Clevelend Orchestra Residency Postponed

The four-day Cleveland Orchestra residency, in question over the past several days due to an ongoing musician strike has been postponed, according to a press release from the Jacobs School of Music.

Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of change, struggled for equality and built his goals on a foundation of advocacy. Monday on IU’s campus, students helped to solidify many of King’s values by participating in celebratory events in his honor.

Sophomore guard Verdell Jones seemed as if he prayed in a free throw to trim Minnesota’s lead to 78-74, contorting his body as the basket prolonged IU’s shot at what would eventually be an 81-78 victory.

Dance celebrates ‘Legacy of Graham’

As the curtain rose, five dancers jumped, turned and kicked during a one-night-only performance of the “Legacy of Graham.” The show recognized the impact Martha Graham had on modern dance. Developed in the 1930s, the Graham technique is characterized by sharp, athletic movements.
