Residents present while robbery occured

A robbery occurred at 2:20 p.m. Sunday at 336 E. Varsity Lane in the Varsity Villas.

According to a report by the Bloomington Police Department, three of the four residents were watching television when they heard a knock at their door. Upon answering, no one was present.

A second knock soon followed. This time, according to the report, “four black males entered the residence, one of whom had possession of a handgun.”
The suspects exited the apartment with various electronics, including a flat-screen television and Xbox game system.

Additional witnesses said they saw the suspects leave in a “low-riding, older model, four-door, Ford or Chevrolet with tinted windows.”

The victims identified the suspects as “stocky, and one of whom had a gap between his teeth.”

Police said suspects have not been apprehended as of press time Monday.
