Jansen, a tight end from Moeller High School in Cincinnati, said that side of his family is from IU. Though he didn’t expect to commit before his senior year of high school, the family influence won him over. Jansen verbally committed to IU on Tuesday.

Homestead Highschool (Fort Wayne) wideout Isaac Griffith became IU's football's first 2013 commit when he accepted his scholarship offer Sunday. Griffith was participating in Head Coach Kevin Wilson's Football Camps, which run through Sunday, June 17 and will attract other IU football recruits to Bloomington.
