For those of you who didn't get enough of dreamy duo Beach House at last year's Culture Shock, they will be returning April 1 at the John Waldron Arts Center.
By Kelsey McArdle "It's bigger than hip-hop." Bloomington was shot in the arm with a potent dose of politics on Wednesday night as Dead Prez overtook the Buskirk-Chumley Theater with Indianapolis' own Mudkids as the opening act. Let me tell you this--it was mind-altering.
I got the chance to chat with the boys in Blk Jks a couple weeks ago, and wrote a profile on 'em in this week's WEEKEND mag.

After bouts with side-projects and too much time apart, the YYYs reunite for their new album release, It's Blitz!, due out April 14. After announcing the album at the end of January, then revealing the album artwork just last week (more on that here), the NY-based trio's newest single, "Zero," has just leaked (and you can download it here). Dragging synths into their usual jagged, art punk bravado, "Zero" strays from the in-your-face sounds of Fever to Tell in favor of the more polished Show Your Bones, while still bringing a fresh perspective to the table. Check it. -Kelsey McArdle
