Zach and I are here at Assembly Hall for the first IU-Minnesota basketball game of the night. While the men's team prepares for action at the Barn, I'll keep you posted as the women take on the Golden Gophers and look to improve to 4-2 in the Big Ten.

Minnesota Preview

I'll have a preview story in the paper tomorrow about the Minnesota game, but as promised by Zach in a previous post, I'll give you an update on the Minnesota game with some other news and notes from practice today. Minnesota is a good team and it should be a good test for IU.

And the hits just keep on coming

Thanks to the good folks at the Big Ten Network, I grabbed a link to this video, which features BTN announcers Mary Murphy and Mark Neely witting their ways about last night's IU-Purdue game.

Breaking down the Big Ten race

Now that the Big Ten has expanded to an 18 game schedule, each team will play two opponents only one time (down from four opponents). For the Hoosiers, Michigan and Purdue only show up on the schedule once this season.

A pretty big win

Hey folks, Well, IU got one back. The Hoosiers went up to West Lafayette and avenged their loss at home to Purdue in a big way tonight, beating the Boilermakers 66-54.

Hoosier Depth Chart Breakdown

You can READ HERE what IU coach Bill Lynch thinks about the upcoming offseason, but here on Under the Rock the only opinions that really matter are yours. What position or players would you most likely see Lynch and the Hoosiers target in recruiting?

DeShaun Thomas

So, here's a rundown of how I talked to DeShaun Thomas. Before tip-off of the IU-Illinois game, I walked down from media seating to where DeShaun Thomas was sitting.

DeShaun Thomas at Assembly Hall

DeShaun Thomas, the top player in the class of 2010, is sitting behind the IU bench right now. He told me he opened up his committment and is on a recruiting visit here in Bloomington.

Pritchard on ESPNU at 5pm

Pritchard fouls out with 4:35 left in the game. He finishes with 9 points and 4 rebounds. He had a lot of foul trouble, which reduced his minutes.

Illinois Preview

The match-up everyone wanted to see this season is finally upon us. Regardless of what players and coaches have said, there will be extra intensity Sunday when Illinois and IU face off at Assembly Hall - Bloomington. I previewed the game and Mike wrote about the EJ saga for Friday's paper.
