Different story, same ending: IU falls 31-28

After two weeks of giving up leads in the fourth quarter, IU played the comeback role today. But it wasn't enough. Anchored by 294 rush yards, Wisconsin held on to a 31-28 win in Bloomington on Saturday afternoon. IU trailed 24-14 at halftime but narrowed the lead to three points following a Trea Burgess touchdown run with four minutes remaining.

John Clay just keeps running. And running. With 134 rushing yards and one touchdown, Clay led Wisconsin to a 24-14 halftime lead against IU.

The Fantasy Sage - Half Year Review

Catch your breath sports nation, You've successfully crossed the half-way marker (unless there's no way you'll make the playoffs, which would only result from not heading my word, in which case this article wouldn't matter to you anyway). A worthy starting lineup for this year would seem like an opponent's paradise from last year, but name's are meaningless in this kind of league.

Minnesota sweeps Hoosiers again

The IU volleyball team suffered another disappointing loss, falling to No. 12 Minnesota in straight sets for the second time this season. All-American middle blocker Lauren Gibbemeyer and the Golden Gophers (18-7, 9-4) made quick work of the Hoosiers (14-14, 3-11), winning by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-15 in just over an hour's time. Senior outside hitter Kelsey Hall shined in a losing effort, earning eight kills, five in the first set. However, IU couldn't stop Gibbemeyer, who led Minnesota in both kills and block assists with 12 and four, respectively. The Hoosiers hit the road again next weekend with matches at Michigan State on Friday and No.

IU field hockey advances to the Championship game

The No. 18 Hoosiers advance to the Big Ten Championship game against No. 8 Michigan State, after beating Penn State 3-1 today. Freshman forward Morgan Fleetwood got IU to an early lead with a goal at the 4th minute from a penalty corner. Fleetwood's 14th goal on the season and 3rd goal of the tournament. The Nittany Lions responded with a goal from forward Kelsey Amy off a corner. The Hoosiers scored another goal off a rebound from freshman forward Brooke Borneman. Four minutes later, Indiana scored another goal from sophomore forward Corey Brautigam. IU won its seventh game in a row from the Penn State win. This Sunday, the Hoosiers face off against a tough Spartan team at Noon in East Lansing, Mich.

Willis hurt again, Jones healthy

The Hoosiers have released their Friday injury report, and there are a few surprises. Running back Darius Willis can't seem to shake his nagging ankle injury, but he is still listed as probable so he should be set to play.

IU men's hockey

Just as a clarification for tonights game. The ad in today's IDS with IU Hockey Presents Soulja Boy, is in regards to the apprecation reception for those that helped the IU Ice House Foundation put on the official Soulja Boy concert last year during Little 5. Soulja Boy will not be at tonight's game.

IU field hockey advances to second round

The No. 3 seed Hoosiers beat the No. 6 seed Northwestern Wildcats 4-2 in the first round of the Big Ten tournament. IU scored first from a goal by freshman forward Morgan Fleetwood at the 11th minute. Hoosiers scored again 12 minutes later by a goal from freshman forward Brooke Borneman. Before halftime begun, midfielder Stephanie Fortson scored at the 29th minute. At the 46:40 mark, Fleetwood scored her 13th goal of the season with an assist from junior midfielder Kelsey Kiper. The Hoosiers scored again from sophomore back Brenna Moeljadi at the 53rd minute. The Wildcats scored a goal off a rebound by back Kaylee Pohlmeyer. IU will play No.

IU women's golf video from Onion Creek Challenge

Bawa is eligible

Earlier this afternoon, IU coach Tom Crean tweeted that freshman center Bawa Muniru has been cleared to play. Just moments ago, we got the actual release from IU media relations: Freshman Bawa Muniru has been cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center and can play for the Hoosiers effective immediately.
