The Jackson Creek Kroger on South College Mall Road will test a 24-hour, seven days a week schedule starting Oct. 4, according to the USA Today.
Bloomington is one of five Indiana locations testing 24-hour stores. Other store locations in Indiana will be in Brownsburg, Fishers, Fort Wayne and the Kroger-owned Pay Less in West Lafayette.
These locations, with an additional location in West Chester, Ohio, are part of a pilot program to create more shopping options for their customers.
The Jackson Creek Kroger is currently open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day of the week.
“We are always looking for more ways provide our customers with fast and convenient ways to shop — both in stores and online,” Kroger said in a statement to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Kroger stores offered 24-hour services in the past, but store hours were cut down during the COVID-19 pandemic to clean and restock stores.
“The small pilot program revisiting stores open 24 hours a day is one more example of the ways we working to better serve our customers,” Kroger said.
