Less than two weeks after Addison Nyemchek committed to Indiana women’s basketball, the Hoosiers landed another 2026 recruit.

Guard Gigi Battle, who attends DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida, announced her commitment to the Hoosiers on Instagram Wednesday. She committed to Indiana over Iowa, the University of Georgia, North Carolina State University, Georgia Tech and others.

The 6-foot Battle joins Nyemchek, Zoe Jackson and Ashlinn James as a part of the Hoosiers 2026 recruiting class.

Battle is a consensus four-star prospect ranked in the top 40 of 247 Sports 2026 recruit rankings. Last year at DME Academy, Battle averaged 16.3 points per game with 7.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.

The Hoosiers will begin their 2025-26 season with an exhibition contest against Missouri University of Science and Technology on Oct. 27 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Indiana’s regular season will begin on Nov. 4 against Lipscomb University in Bloomington.
