Indiana women’s basketball’s conference schedule was announced Thursday afternoon on the Big Ten Network’s schedule release show.

The Hoosiers finished 26-6 a season ago, including 15-3 in conference play. Each Big Ten loss came on the road, with Indiana falling to Iowa, Ohio State and Illinois.

Despite the Big Ten’s addition of four new schools in USC, UCLA, Washington and Oregon, each squad will play an 18-game conference slate.

The Hoosiers will host UCLA on Jan 4 and USC on Jan. 19. The cream and crimson will travel to Oregon on Jan. 24 and Washington on Jan. 27.

Indiana will host Purdue on Feb. 15 before traveling to West Lafayette on March 2. The Boilermakers are the only conference opponent the Hoosiers will play twice during the regular season.

Takeaways:

The Hoosiers begin conference play at Penn State — a return game for junior guard Shay Ciezki, a former Nittany Lion, who transferred to Indiana over the offseason. Senior guard Sydney Parrish will also return to her former school when the Hoosiers take on Oregon on Jan. 24.

Indiana’s west coast trip comes just after it hosts USC — one of the best teams in the country led by sophomore guard JuJu Watkins.

The Hoosiers’ two contests against Purdue come during the final five games of the regular season.
