Indiana women’s basketball gained its second 2027 recruit Tuesday, as guard Brookeslee Colvin announced her commitment to the Hoosiers in an Instagram post. The 5-foot-8 Colvin averaged 30.9 points, eight rebounds, 4.8 assists and 5.4 steals per game as a junior during the 2025-26 season, according to MaxPreps.
Colvin, a four-star recruit from Coeur d'Alene High School in Idaho, was named the state’s 2026 Gatorade Player of the Year. She helped her squad to a 22-4 record during the 2025-26 season, when the Vikings advanced to the semifinals of the 6A state tournament.
Colvin only averaged 9.3 points per game as a freshman. However, those numbers increased dramatically the following year, as Colvin averaged 22.6 points, five assists and five rebounds per game as a sophomore during the 2024-25 season.
According to her Instagram, Colvin received offers from over 30 other schools, including Big Ten programs in Michigan, UCLA and Penn State, among others. Instead, Colvin committed to the Hoosiers.
Colvin joins forward Finley Parker as the Cream and Crimson’s second recruit in the 2027 high school class. Parker, a four-star recruit from Georgia, committed to the Hoosiers on April 2. Parker averaged 19.6 points per game as a junior last season.
After going 18-14 overall and missing the NCAA Tournament last season, Indiana’s 2026-27 season will officially begin against Florida Gulf Coast University on Nov. 3 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Before that, the Hoosiers will play in a preseason exhibition against Marian University on Oct. 28 in Bloomington.
