The 2024 Hoosier Country Jam will bring country music artists Michael Ray and Mason Ramsey to Bloomington at 8 p.m. April 15 in the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.

Founded in 2020, the Hoosier Country Jam is presented by and benefits Camp Broadcast — an expert-led interactive day camp for student journalists to gain experience interviewing celebrities and professional athletes. Camp Broadcast Founder Sam Alex will be the Hoosier Country Jam host. Alex hosts the Nationally Syndicated radio show, “The Sam Alex Show,” which has received both Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Awards nominations.

Country musician Michael Ray, with a collection of multiple RIAA Platinum and Gold-certified songs, has performed in Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry 73 times. Ray is known for his songs “Think a Little Less” and “Whiskey And Rain.” His newest release “Nothin’ Else” came out March 8, 2024, and has garnered over 300,000 streams on Spotify.

Mason Ramsey had his break at 11 years old. In 2018 a video of the young musician yodeling Hank Williams in his local Walmart went viral. Since then, Ramsey has performed at Coachella and iHeartRadio Country music festivals and has become the youngest major label country artist signed in almost twenty years. The 17-year-old star has over 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

The Hoosier Country Jam will also feature the performances of Dylan Schneider, Hank Ruff, Jake Hoot, Jake Dodds and IU student and former American Idol contestant Meggie Iyer.

Tickets start at $45 and are available for purchase on the Buskirk-Chumley Theater website.
