Former Indiana wrestler Luke Sheridan wins wrestle-off, qualifies for USA National Team

Indiana wrestling alum Luke Sheridan competed in a True Third National Team Wrestle-off on Wednesday against Beaver Dam RTC’s Hadyn Maley. Sheridan defeated Maley 13-4, securing a spot on the USA National Wrestling Team.

The match was held at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden prior to the Final X New York competition. Sheridan wrestled in the 97-kg weight class in the Greco-Roman division.

Sheridan, who attended IU from 2011-2015, is a soldier-athlete with the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program. Competition for the USA National Team will resume in September for the 2022-2023 season.
