Joanna Mirecki Millunchick will become the new dean for IU’s Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering beginning July 1, according to a press release. Dennis Roth held the interim dean role held since last March.

Prior to taking the role, Millunchick served as the associate dean of undergraduate education at the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan. There, she oversaw the quality of the school’s education, as well as worked on academic policy to heighten student experience on campus.

She will serve as dean for the Luddy School at both IU-Bloomington and IUPUI. Millunchick will be the first woman to serve as Luddy’s dean.

Millunchick is still awaiting confirmation from the IU Board of Trustees.
