No. 9 seed IU field hockey will face No. 8 seed Michigan State in the first round of the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament on Tuesday in Iowa City, Iowa. The winner will advance to face No. 1 seed Michigan on Wednesday.
The Hoosiers played against the Spartans twice during the regular season, with the first match on March 7 ending in a 2-0 loss and the second match Thursday ending in a 3-2 overtime win for IU.
The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be played at Iowa’s Grant Field in Iowa City along with being broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
