The IU Table Tennis Team won the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association Upper Midwest Divisional Tournament in Vernon Hills, Illinois, on Sunday.
The Hoosiers swept Northwestern, University of Illinois-Chicago, Wisconsin and the University of Notre Dame on their way to a tournament victory.
The seven team members that competed were led by recent additions Sharon and Gal Alguetti. The freshmen brothers are both ranked in the top 10 in the country. The duo will attempt to qualify for the Olympics from Feb. 28 through Mar. 1.
The final goal for the squad is advancing to the NCTTA Nationals in April.
