Buskirk-Chumley announces upcoming season

The Buskirk-Chumley Theater announced a series of films for its upcoming season.

The "Fairy Tales and Fantasy Films" series will run through February with two separate films for Valentine’s Day weekend. All screenings are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the "Fairy Tale and Fantasy Films" series are $5. Tickets for "Love & Basketball" are $5 while "Casablanca" tickets are $8. Tickets can be purchased online at bctboxoffice.org, 812-323-3020 or the BCT Box Office & Downtown Visitors Center at 114 E. Kirkwood Ave.

Rebecca Stanze, associate director of the theater, said the theater strives to program films that are of interest to a variety of audiences.

“The films are family-friendly, date night-friendly, student-friendly and budget-friendly," Stanze said. "We specifically want to keep the price as low as possible so it's accessible for everyone."
