Attempted armed robbery? near Upland Brewing Co.

An attempted armed robbery was reported around 9 p.m. Friday on the 200 block of West 14th Street, Sgt. Steve Kellams said.

The complainants called 911 after a black male in his mid-20s wearing a tan jacket and blue jeans reportedly stopped them in the roadway as they walked home from the Upland Brewing Co. and threatened to shoot them if they didn’t give him money.

The man never displayed a gun. The reported victims continued walking without giving him any money.
