Female student reports rape

A 19-year-old female IU student reported a forcible rape to the IU Police Department at about 10 a.m. Thursday.

The victim reported the rape occurred between 11 p.m. Sept. 14 and 4 a.m. Sept. 15, according to the IUPD log.

The victim does not know where the offense took place, IUPD Lt. Craig Munroe said.

She said she left her campus residence and walked to another residence. She later left for another location, but did not know where she was.

She said she assumed she was off-campus because she was in a house.

No suspects were named, Munroe said.

The investigation is inactive as the victim did not want to pursue the case, he said.
