THE SHINING

This film is set in the snowy mountains of Colorado and follows a family of three — Jack, Wendy and son Danny — to the Overlook Hotel.
The family moves there in order to keep an eye on the hotel for the winter. Following their move, Danny has psychic flashes of the hotel’s violent past and future while his father slowly begins to fall under the influence of the lonely hotel and its history.

The popular phrases, “Here’s Johnny!” and “Redrum” originated from this iconic horror film. The film was directed by Stanley Kubrick and released in 1980.
