Bloomington Police pursuing suspect in Hoosier Workwear Outlet store robbery

Bloomington police are pursuing a suspect who robbed up to $550 from a
local outlet store.

An owner of Hoosier Workwear Outlet, 207 S. Rogers St., went to collect cash from the store safe located in a back office to make a deposit at about 6:30 p.m. Monday.

When she opened the safe, the money was not inside, said Bloomington Police Department Detective Sgt. John Kovach.

Kovach said the suspect is shown on video walking up and down various aisles in a suspicious manner, as if on the lookout.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a white polo and blue jeans, with short white or grey hair and dark-rimmed glasses, Kovach said.

Store surveillance footage shows that the suspect did not make a purchase while at the store and is shown in the footage repositioning the direction of the camera so it does not face the safe, Kovach said.

Anyone with information regarding the case or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective Scott Reynolds at 812-349-3363.
