A vote of more than 8,000 students and faculty members at a rally in Dunn Meadow announced the continuation of a boycott of classes through the end of the week.
Former Student Body President Ted Najam welcomed the crowd to the "seventh rally in our eleventh day of peaceful protest," according to an IDS article.
As a group of around 50 faculty members marched to the meadow in support of the cause, the crowd stood in applause.
The boycott ended two days later during a rally involving 800 students. The attendees overwhelmingly supported discontinuing the 9-day boycott and returning to classes.
"We made our point in terms of the boycott, and if necessary, we can get back together and do it again," Joel Allen, graduate student, said in an IDS article.
