Night Walk to raise safety awareness\nThe Commission on Personal Safety will hold its annual Fall Night Walk at 7:30 p.m. tonight. The walk aims to ensure that all designated walkways and parking lots are well lit and to raise awareness about overall campus safety. The group will meet in the Service Building parking lot at the corner of Cottage Grove and Walnut Grove and will head toward Collins Living-Learning Center and then toward the Student Building and the older section of campus. Roundtable to discuss ancient Siberian DNA\nFrederika Kaestle, an IU anthropology professor, will lead a roundtable on the topic, "Ancient Siberian DNA: Preliminary Results from the Neolithic Boisman II Site." The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. today at the Asian Culture Center, located at 807 E. 10th St. The roundtable will discuss how ancient DNA from archaeological human remains can be used to test hypotheses of kinship and population relationship in the past. Participants will also explore the implications for understanding the Siberian maritime neolithic, as well as prehistoric population movement in East Asia. Lecture to focus on forbidden books\nThe Lilly Library will host a lecture by Paul Benhamou, French professor at Purdue University, on "The Diffusion of Forbidden Books in Pre-Revolutionary France: A Postscript to the Darnton Debate." IUSF to hold Women's Little 500 open house \nThe IU Student Foundation is hosting an open house for anyone interested in this year's Women's Little 500, from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the IU Foundation, located near the bypass. Music school to host lecture on ballet\nThe IU School of Music will host a guest lecture from Millicent Hodson, choreographer and dance historian and Kenneth Archer, designer and art historian. They will speak about "The Avant-Garde Challenge: Ballet Suédois vs. Ballets Russes" and "The Legacy of Nicholas Roerich." Graduate students to discuss professional boundaries\nThe Graduate and Professional Student Organization will hold a coffee hour and discussion on creating appropriate boundaries from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday in the University Club.
