Tonight, Kansas and Syracuse square off for title\nNEW ORLEANS -- Now Kansas becomes Syracuse's problem and Carmelo Anthony becomes the Jayhawks' headache.\nKansas blistered Marquette 94-61 with a jaw-dropping display of flawless basketball in the NCAA tournament semifinals Saturday night before Anthony's 33 points carried Syracuse past Texas 95-84.\nThat set up a Monday night championship game matchup between Roy Williams of Kansas and Jim Boeheim of Syracuse, two of college basketball's most successful coaches, each seeking his first national title.\nBoeheim has coached Syracuse to 652 victories in 27 seasons, but lost title games to Indiana in 1987 and Kentucky in 1996. Williams is in his 15th season at Kansas and lost the 1991 championship game to Duke.\nFor Syracuse, Kansas will be the third straight Big 12 opponent, following Oklahoma and Texas, both No. 1 seeds in the tournament, both distracted by the Orangemen's tenacious 2-3 zone defense.\nDavis says he won't leave Hoosiers \nBLOOMINGTON -- IU coach Mike Davis says he's only interested in one basketball coaching job -- his own.\nDavis told The Indianapolis Star Friday he hasn't spoken with any other schools, shooting down speculation he was interested in the coaching job at Georgia.\n"I want to say once and for all that I have no interest in any other job except the one that I have," Davis said. "I have a great job, one of the top five college basketball jobs in the country, and all of this talk about me wanting to go here or there is crazy."\nDavis, 42, signed a six-year contract extension last season that ties him up through the 2007-08 season. It's Tennessee vs. Connecticut for the national championship in women's basketball.\nThe sport's most prominent and successful programs will decide the title Tuesday night after grinding out tough semifinal victories Sunday night.\nConnecticut (36-1), the defending champion, came from nine points down in the second half to beat Texas 71-69. Tennessee (33-4) pulled away late to beat Duke 66-56 in the first game.\nSo now the nation's hottest rivalry will play out in the championship game for the third time. Connecticut beat Tennessee in the 1995 and 2000 title games and defeated the Lady Vols in last year's semifinals before beating Oklahoma.
